Due to the special structure of foam metal, it has many excellent properties that are different from traditional materials, such as:
- High through porosity: almost fully permeable structure with a through porosity of more than 98%. As a filter material, it has small pressure drop and high flow rate;
- Large specific surface area: under the same through-hole rate, it has the largest specific surface area compared with other porous materials;
- High porosity and uniform pore structure: the porosity reaches more than 95%, which is a three-dimensional porous and transparent structure, and has good metal strength, the same volume, lighter material weight, the highest accommodation, and good sound absorption, energy absorption and electromagnetic shielding properties;
- metal properties: foam metal can be made of nickel, copper, iron or alloy materials. Different substrates have different metal properties, such as fire protection, non-toxic, no drop residues, recyclable, heat conduction, etc., and have wide application scope.
- It can be welded, sheared, thinned, rolled and other mechanical processing. At the same time, metal materials can be recycled, which is conducive to environmental protection and cost saving.
